5.11. KeypadControl
ToallowtheDrivetobecontrolledfromthekeypadina forwarddirectiononly,setP1‐12=1:
• Connectthedrivetothesupply,ensuringthecorrectvoltageandfusing/circuitbreakerprotection–seesection10.2.
• Connectthemotortothedrive,ensuringthecorrectstar/delta
connectionforthevoltagerating‐seesection4.6.
• Applythemainspowertothedrive,thenenterthemotordatafrommotornameplate;P1‐07=motorratedvoltage,P1‐08=motor
ratedcurrent,P1‐09=motorratedfrequency.
• ConnecttheDriveHardwareEnable(STO)circuit
asfollows(seesection0forfurtherdetails)
o LinkTerminal1toTerminals12(STO+)
o LinkTerminal9toTerminal13(STO‐)
• Connectacontrolswitchbetweenthecontrolterminals1and2ensuringthatthecontactisopen(drivedisabled).
• Enablethedriveby
closingtheswitchbetweencontrolterminals1&2.ThedisplaywillshowStoP.
• Pressthe
key.ThedisplayshowsH 0.0.
• Press toincreasespeed.
• Thedrivewillrunforward,increasingspeeduntil isreleased.
• Press todecreasespeed.Thedrivewilldecreasespeeduntil isreleased.Therateofdecelerationislimitedbythesetting
inP1‐04
• Pressthe key.ThedrivewilldeceleratetorestattheratesetinP1‐04.
• ThedisplaywillfinallyshowStoPatwhichpointthedriveisdisabled
• Topresetatargetspeedpriortoenable,pressthe
keywhilstthedriveisstopped.Thedisplaywillshowthetargetspeed,use
the & keystoadjustasrequiredthenpressthe keytoreturnthedisplaytoStoP.
• Pressingthe keywillstartthedriveacceleratingtothetargetspeed.
• ToallowtheDrivetobecontrolledfromthekeypadina forwardandreversedirection,setP1‐12=2:
• OperationisthesameaswhenP1‐12=1forstart,stopandchangingspeed.
• Pressthe
key.ThedisplaychangestoH 0.0.
• Press toincreasespeed
• Thedrivewillrunforward,increasingspeeduntil isreleased.AccelerationislimitedbythesettinginP1‐03.Themaximumspeed
isthespeedsetinP1‐01.
• Toreversethedirectionofrotationofthemotor,pressthe keyagain.
5.12. OperatinginSensorlessVectorSpeedControlMode
DrivecanbeprogrammedbytheusertooperateinSensorlessVectormode,whichprovidesenhancedlowspeedtorque,optimummotorspeed
regulationregardlessofloadandaccuratecontrolofthemotortorque.Inmostapplications,thedefaultVoltageVectorcontrolmodewill
provideadequateperformance,howeverifSensorlessVectoroperation
isrequired,usethefollowingprocedure.
• EnsureadvancedparameteraccessisenabledbysettingP1‐14=101
• Enterthemotornameplatedetailsintotherelevantparametersasfollows
o P1‐07MotorRatedVoltage
o P1‐08MotorRatedCurrent
o P1‐09MotorRatedFrequency

• SelectSensorlessVectorcontrolmodebysettingP4‐01=0
• Ensurethatthemotoriscorrectlyconnectedtothedrive
• CarryoutamotordataAutotunebysettingP4‐02=1
TheAutotunewillbeginimmediatelywhenP4‐02issetregardlessofthestatusofthedriveenablesignal.Whilsttheautotune
proceduredoesnotdriveorspinthemotor,themotorshaftmaystillturnslightly.Itisnotnormallynecessarytouncouplethe
loadfromthemotor;however
theusershouldensurethatnoriskarisesfromthepossiblemovementofthemotorshaft.
Itisessentialthatthecorrectmotordataisenteredintotherelevantdriveparameters.Incorrectparametersettingscanresult
inpoororevendangerousperformance.
